At the end of April 2011 Sam took a career break from his job at Tesco and, with two friends, flew off to the Greek island of Zakynthos to look for a summer job. It was something he had always wanted to do and although the work opportunities were few and far between, it was a memorable experience for Sam, and he made many new friends during his time in Zante. It also gave him a chance to practise one of his favourite sports - Tombstoning!
